Macon Film Festival 2019
Role: Director, Animator, Compositor
The Macon Film Festival reached out to the students of the SCAD Projection Club, commissioning a collaborative full-dome film to showcase their planetarium on the opening night of their festival.
With a background in cel animation, I was drawn to the project as a design and compositing challenge, creating a seamless, three dimensional environment from flat artwork.
Each animator or team created a short film within one of the three segment themes: nature, culture, and synesthesia.
I chose nature and spent the summer exploring the environment of a pond at macro and micro levels. Character animation by Quincy Baltes helped bring our 3-minute story to life.
