Ryen Goebel 

Ryen grew up looking under rocks and climbing trees on the coast of northwest Florida. She is fascinated by moss, poetry, and the ways in which art and storytelling combine in different mediums.
 
Ryen recently graduated from SCAD, where her senior film was a finalist for the Student Academy Awards. She is currently freelancing as an animator and compositor, trying to seek out projects that explore the urgent questions of how we imagine and navigate the world. 
 
Ryen approaches her work with a sense of whimsy and wonder, experimenting with animation's ability to draw connections between unexpected things. She is inspired by myths and fairytales, music, and the intricate patterns found in everyday experiences.
